Spring 2011
ETEC 613 Instructional Design Group Project, AECT Standards & Feedback
Our group consisted of Melissa Kunitzer, Davileigh Naeole, Jayneen Souza and myself. We were challenged with designing instruction for a specific unit in a course. This project includes a content analysis report and a module prototype. A formative evaluation is done after implementing the module prototype. Our team used the Dick and Carey model to determine the design components of our instruction for Pepeke Henua or locational sentence in a beginning `Olelo Hawai`i course.
I learned that instructional design is indeed a systematic and complex process. There are many important elements which require careful assessment and planning. We used critical peer feedback to make several improvements which led to the final product. In addition, establishing a time line which allows room for several drafts is critical. Working as a team provided a real-world experience.
Included here are the Content Analysis Report and the Module Prototype. Also included is a PowerPoint summary of our experience as presented to our class. The summary includes a formative evaluation.

Feedback
Teacher Assistant Feedback 2:
This is a great and excellent motivation explanation. Very well done.
Peer Feedback 1:
"I like your questions and your idea of a reflective journal. Another thing that is common at the beginning of a lesson is a K-W-L Chart. What do you KNOW? What do you WANT to know? What have you LEARNED? the chart can be filled out throughout the lesson/course."
